About the role
- We focus on our clients' strategic, operational, financial, and capital needs by addressing the full spectrum of financial and transactional challenges faced by corporations, boards, private equity sponsors, creditor constituencies and other stakeholders.
- FTI's Investment Administration and Reporting subpractice in Real Estate Solutions offering has a primary focus on the real estate and finance industry and the capital markets that serve it.
- We represent leading public and private real estate entities including equity and mortgage REITs, financial institutions, investment banks, opportunity funds, insurance companies, hedge funds, pension advisors and owners/developers.
Responsibilities
- The senior consultant will be responsible for developing and maintaining financial reporting support work papers, preparing and posting journal entries, and maintaining and updating the client's general ledgers and adjusted trial balances.
- Perform month and/or quarter end close, including updates of monthly workbook and financial statement variance analysis, prepare and post journal entries
- Assist in the preparation of financial statements, footnotes and necessary support as well as management reports, as applicable. Including public client's Form 10-K, Form 10-Q, and quarterly earnings releases
- Assist in preparation of Partner Capital Statements and notices
- Validate financial information maintained by third party service providers
- Ability to perform basic US GAAP research

Requirements
- Bachelor's or master's degree in accounting
- 3+ years of relevant accounting and financial reporting work experience
- Strong proficiency in Excel and Word required.
- Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis
Nice to have
- Ability to take responsibility for various aspects of projects as well as the ability to suggest improvements and enhancements
- Knowledge of SEC reporting
- Knowledge of income tax basis financial statements
- Familiarity with accounting software such as Yardi
- Minimum Pay: $78,500.00
- Maximum Pay: $163,000.00
