About the role
- Negotiates settlement of claims within designated authority.
- Prepares necessary state fillings within statutory limits.
- Coordinates vendor referrals for additional investigation and/or litigation management.
Requirements
- Candidate with prior/current CA Indemnity and Litigated Workers Compensation experience is required.
- Prefer if someone could be in-office in either Roseville, CA or Long Beach, CA, preferably within driving distance of either office in case it is required for them to come in for a quarterly client meeting and training.
Nice to have
- subrogation, Second Injury Fund excess recoveries and Social Security and Medicare offsets.
- Reports claims to the excess carrier
- responds to requests of directions in a professional and timely manner.
- Communicates claim activity and processing with the claimant and the client
- Ensures claim files are properly documented and claims coding is correct.
- Refers cases as appropriate to supervisor and management.
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university preferred.
- Professional certification as applicable to line of business preferred.
