About the role
- Replace off-the-shelf software to automate physics and statistical analyses that predict component lifetime in fatigue and environmental stresses
- Diverse opportunities to deep dive into research papers, literature studies, failure physics, failure analysis, etc. depending on your specific interest and background
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with design and test engineers to analyze field usage, implement accelerated life calculations, and optimize test conditions
- Build, automate, and execute tests related to your subject area of experience
Requirements
- Strong understanding of engineering fundamentals in your area of study
- Strong understanding of python, data analysis, and Git usage in small repositories
- Ability to work quickly and leverage AI tools in a fast-paced startup environment
- Pursuing a mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, physics, or equivalent
Nice to have
- Experience with hands-on hardware testing and test automation
- Experience with high voltage batteries, power electronics, or similar hardware
- Exposure to hardware reliability first principles
