About the role
- This position will direct the strategy and oversee the execution of safety and corporate EHS initiatives across all GAF.
- Serves as a key member of the EHS staff with responsibility for assisting in implementation of GAF safety and health strategies, policies, standards, compliance, and management initiatives.
- Evaluate effectiveness of initiatives through safety assessments and interpreting data to identify gaps.
Responsibilities
- Establish organizational goals based on gap analysis, prioritize issues, develop projects to achieve goals and sustain compliance with government regulations.
- Develop training materials to support the organization's safety management systems. Promote employee awareness of safety requirements and hazard mitigation through training and continual communication with Leadership.
- Maintain and assist in the continued development of GAF Incident Management System, including the development of (monthly) performance reporting to provide visibility of safety progress, performance, and issues.
- Maintain, revise or develop enterprise standards for protection of employees' safety where the company operates.
- Develops and implements action plans as necessary to mitigate risks.
- Develop training materials to support the organization's safety management systems.
- Lead compliance audits and assessments of operations to measure conformance to GAF policy and procedures and work closely with Leadership to identify corrective actions.
- Lead or participate in incident investigations as a team member and subject matter expert to identify root causes and effective corrective actions.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Arts/Sciences (BA/BS) in Safety, Engineering, or a related degree field Required
- 10 years EHS experience, 5 years management of others Required
- Ability to effectively adapt to changing needs and priorities while maintaining a positive attitude with a focus on client success.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with ability to establish trust and relationships.
- Intermediate knowledge of Google Suite Office.

- Certified Safety Professional (CSP) Preferred

Compensation
- $153,000-$195,500
