About the role
- Purpose: To work closely with the producer and Commercial Lines Customer Service Representative to service new and existing accounts to achieve Agency sales goals and service standards.
- Responsible for securing the retention of specifically assigned Commercial accounts through marketing responsibilities.
- Handle client requests for information, endorsements, forms, and rates for accuracy, recommending changes or amendments.
Responsibilities
- Develop a full working knowledge of Commercial Lines procedures.
- Maintain account files, overseeing that documents are placed into appropriate sections of automated database.
- Maintain knowledge of carrier underwriting criteria, deviations, plans, and marketing policy.
- Maintain knowledge of approved rates by the respective carriers, and be able to explain the rating of any policy.
- Maintain a suspense file for proper follow up of outstanding quotation requests.
- Customer Focused - Builds strong relationships and delivers customer centric solutions.
- Communicates Effectively - Delivers communications that convey a clear understanding of the unique needs of different audiences.
Requirements
- Ability to sit at a desk 7-8 hours per day.
- High School degree or equivalent.
- Valid Insurance Producer license in good standing (authorities in states needed to service the assigned book of business) or ability to obtain such within 90 days of hire.
- Order cancellations where requested or required.
- Prepare and/or modify quotations when required.
- Utilize agency automation with a high level of knowledge and proficiency.
- Recruiting Vendors must have a valid written agreement and received prior written authorization from an authorized Brown & Brown representative before submitting candidates for any publicly posted role.
Nice to have
- College Degree in a business-related field.
- CPCU and/or CIC designation preferred.
- 1-2+ years of insurance experience, or a related field.
Compensation
- 38.00 - 39.00 Hourly
- The pay range provided above is made in good faith and based on our lowest and highest annual salary or hourly rate paid for the role and takes into account years of experience required, geography, and/or budget for the role.
