About the role

  • The Evening Technologist I main duties include data entry, specimen processing and analysis of clinical/forensic samples.
  • may be limited to one testing area or may overlap across lab departments.
  • All laboratory technologists report to department supervisors and the laboratory manager.

Responsibilities

  • Sample processing, extraction, analysis and reporting of results •Perform Instrument maintenance on AU480, Shimadzu LCMS and temperature/humidity monitoring.
  • Perform instrument maintenance and troubleshooting
  • Document corrective and preventative action in all testing procedures
  • Manage, track, organize and order inventory.
  • Operate and maintain robotic liquid handling instrumentation and equipment

Requirements

  • Ability to work independently

Skills

  • At least 1+ year of laboratory work experience (preferred in regulated lab and with high complexity testing)
  • Experience with liquid handlers, immunoassay analyzers, LC/MS instrumentation and manual pipetting.
  • Previous experience with a Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS).
  • Previous experience with an Electronic Medical Records System (EMR).
  • ASCP accreditation strongly preferred.

Compensation

  • $21.00 an hour *The compensation range may represent the low and high end of the base compensation range for this position.
  • Actual compensation will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to location, experience, qualifications, education, internal equity and business needs.
