About the role

  • The Sourcing Specialist serves as the primary liaison between the internal sales team, customer service, and suppliers to facilitate the acquisition of non-stock and custom orders.
  • This role ensures that procurement processes align with the division's objectives for profitability and customer satisfaction.
  • The specialist will leverage strong communication and negotiation skills to foster relationships with key stakeholders and ensure timely, cost-effective sourcing solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to negotiate pricing, terms, and delivery schedules that meet the division's needs.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to streamline processes, improve efficiency, and enhance the overall customer experience.
  • Implement best practices in sourcing and procurement to support the division's strategic objectives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university
  • Carry out additional responsibilities as required to support team objectives and company goals.
  • Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combinations of education and experience.
  • Read, analyze, and interpret scientific and technical journals, financial reports and legal documents.
  • Respond to inquiries or complaints from customers, agencies or members of the business community.
  • Work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference.
  • Apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios and proportions to practical situations.
  • Define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
  • Interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
