About the role
- The Sourcing Specialist serves as the primary liaison between the internal sales team, customer service, and suppliers to facilitate the acquisition of non-stock and custom orders.
- This role ensures that procurement processes align with the division's objectives for profitability and customer satisfaction.
- The specialist will leverage strong communication and negotiation skills to foster relationships with key stakeholders and ensure timely, cost-effective sourcing solutions.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to negotiate pricing, terms, and delivery schedules that meet the division's needs.
- Collaborate with internal teams to streamline processes, improve efficiency, and enhance the overall customer experience.
- Implement best practices in sourcing and procurement to support the division's strategic objectives.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university
- Carry out additional responsibilities as required to support team objectives and company goals.
- Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combinations of education and experience.
- Read, analyze, and interpret scientific and technical journals, financial reports and legal documents.
- Respond to inquiries or complaints from customers, agencies or members of the business community.
- Work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference.
- Apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios and proportions to practical situations.
- Define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
- Interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
