Responsibilities
- Be the Difference That Ends Someone's Day on a High Note The Arc of Ocean County is looking for compassionate, dependable individuals to join our Residential Services team as Full-Time Evening Direct Support Professionals (DSPs).
- From preparing dinner and participating in community outings to celebrating personal achievements and encouraging independence, every shift provides opportunities to build genuine relationships while making a lasting impact.
- Whether you're beginning a career in human services or searching for meaningful work with purpose, we'll provide the training and support to help you succeed.
- Bi-Weekly What You'll Do Support Everyday Living Assist individuals in residential group homes, supervised apartments, and supported living programs with evening routines and daily living activities.
- Help prepare meals, assist with medication support, household responsibilities, personal care, and transportation needs.
- Build Meaningful Relationships Encourage individuals to participate in recreational activities, community outings, shopping trips, and social opportunities.
- Create a positive home environment where individuals feel respected, valued, and empowered to make choices.
- Promote Safety & Quality Care Maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming home environment.
- Follow agency policies, medication procedures, and safety protocols while providing high-quality person-centered supports.
- Team That Makes a Difference Work collaboratively with Residential Services staff to provide consistent, compassionate support.
Requirements
- Accurately complete electronic documentation, daily service notes, and required program records.
- Previous experience working with individuals with disabilities is welcomed-but not required.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- High School Diploma or GED required.
