About the role
- Axonius Federal Systems (AFS), the federal subsidiary of Axonius, is seeking a driven and technically strong Inside Sales Engineer to help scale pre-sales execution across the federal market.
- The Inside Sales Engineer is a primarily remote, pre-sales technical role responsible for executing repeatable, high-impact customer engagements across a broad set of federal accounts.
Responsibilities
- Pre ‑ Sales Execution & Customer Support
- Support customer discovery and respond to technical questions across architecture, integrations, security posture, and compliance considerations
- Federal Compliance & Program Support
- Support federal initiatives, including creation of technical documentation and artifacts aligned to CMMC, CDM, FISMA, and FedRAMP-related efforts
- Partner with Account Executives and Sales Engineers to drive consistent, repeatable pre-sales execution across opportunities
- Support solution positioning through technical research, competitive insights, and federal use case alignment
- Support webinars, events, and customer presentations
- Deliver technical content aligned to defined messaging and audience needs
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in technical pre-sales, sales engineering, cybersecurity, federal IT, or a related field
- Familiarity with federal security frameworks such as FISMA, FedRAMP, CDM, or CMMC
- Strong technical communication skills, with the ability to clearly present and explain complex concepts
- Experience supporting federal agencies, systems integrators, or enterprise environments
Nice to have
- Active US Security Clearance
- Experience supporting software sales in federal or regulated environments
- Exposure to APIs and data integrations
- Familiarity with scripting languages such as Python
