Responsibilities
- Own the departmental area (Safety, 5S, Machine Availability, PM's, etc).
- Understand core team's KPI's and what drives these results. Communicate and help solve actions around these KPI's and how they can be improved.
- Complete and support training for all new hires/transfers in the department area
- Support the team with staffing needs by being involved in the recruiting and interviewing process.
- Perform equipment failure analysis and preventive maintenance
- Lay out, assemble, install, and maintain pipe systems and related hydraulic and pneumatic equipment, and repair and replace gauges, valves, pressure regulators, and related equipment.
- Provide team support within the department by effectively conducting start
Requirements
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment.
Nice to have
- High School diploma or GED required
- Associates or Bachelor's degree strongly preferred
- Certifications pertaining to related manufacturing field strongly preferred
- 5 years related experience and/or training in a machine shop field
- 2 years of leadership experience strongly preferred
- Experience in fast paced industrial lean environment
- 5 years related experience and/or training in a machine shop field strongly preferred
