Responsibilities

  • Own the departmental area (Safety, 5S, Machine Availability, PM's, etc).
  • Understand core team's KPI's and what drives these results. Communicate and help solve actions around these KPI's and how they can be improved.
  • Complete and support training for all new hires/transfers in the department area
  • Support the team with staffing needs by being involved in the recruiting and interviewing process.
  • Perform equipment failure analysis and preventive maintenance
  • Lay out, assemble, install, and maintain pipe systems and related hydraulic and pneumatic equipment, and repair and replace gauges, valves, pressure regulators, and related equipment.
  • Provide team support within the department by effectively conducting start

Requirements

  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment.

Nice to have

  • High School diploma or GED required
  • Associates or Bachelor's degree strongly preferred
  • Certifications pertaining to related manufacturing field strongly preferred
  • 5 years related experience and/or training in a machine shop field
  • 2 years of leadership experience strongly preferred
  • Experience in fast paced industrial lean environment
  • 5 years related experience and/or training in a machine shop field strongly preferred
