About the role
- This position is PRN, as needed, hours, shifts and day may vary.
- Regularly planned shifts will be on Saturdays and Sundays.
- To compassionately respond to spiritual and emotional needs of hospital patients, families, staff and the wider community, demonstrating sensitivity to and respect for diversity in religious, cultural and ethnic backgrounds.
Responsibilities
- Facilitates support groups.
- Writes devotions and develops communications to enhance the visibility of the Chaplaincy department and awareness of spirituality in the workplace.
Requirements
- Regularly attends staff meetings, performing administrative tasks as required and other duties as assigned.
Nice to have
- A Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university and a Master of Divinity degree or its equivalent from an accredited seminary (Association of Theological Schools) or university.
- Ordination and proper ecclesiastic religious endorsement from the ordaining body.
- Experience in parish based ministry, a minimum of 5 years preferred
- 4 units including a 1 year residency preferred.

- Participates in Patient Rounds and Care Conferences as available, relating to other disciplines of health care and provides insights of religious and spiritual dynamics of patient care.
