About the role
- Job Description Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University (ERAU) invites applicants to join its dynamic team in the Hunt Library, serving a diverse population of residential and online students, faculty, staff, and researchers.
- Th e Acquisitions Technician position plays an important role in ensuring timely access to Hunt Library's print and electronic collections.
- The successful candidate will join the Hunt Library (https://huntlibrary.erau.edu), serving the Daytona Beach, Prescott, and Worldwide Campuses, working regular business hours.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate the ordering, receiving, invoicing, and processing of print and electronic library materials while working with vendors and campus partners to resolve ordering issues.
- Maintain accurate acquisitions, vendor, inventory, and financial records using the Alma library management system and other library technologies.
- Coordinate departmental mail distribution and maintain processing and repair supplies.
Requirements
- Experience using Microsoft Office and standard internet applications.
- Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities.
- Ability to learn and effectively use library information systems and business applications.
- Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED.
- One to three years of related work experience.
- Strong written communication, grammar, basic math, and organizational skills.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills.
Nice to have
- Some college preferred.
- Experience working in a library or similar information-centered environment.
- Familiarity with library management systems (such as Alma), MARC records, OCLC, GOBI /YBP, EBSCONET, or other library resource management software.
- Experience with ordering, invoicing, purchasing, or accounts payable workflows.
- Knowledge of library acquisitions, technical services, or collection management processes.

- The hourly range for this role is $16.00-$17.00.
