About the role

Responsibilities
- Support federal client stakeholders in gathering and documenting business, functional, and reporting requirements for data dashboards, visualizations, and decision-support tools.
- Develop user story intake process and tracking methodology while working closely with cross-functional teams to refine user story language and needs through an iterative process.
- Develop process flows user personas, user stories, and related artifacts to support user-centered dashboard design and development.
- Collaborate with internal data analysts, dashboard developers, and technical teams to ensure requirements are clearly understood and accurately implemented.
- Support user acceptance testing, including test planning, test case development, test execution, defect tracking, and validation of dashboard functionality.
- Build strong working relationships with public safety stakeholders, federal clients, and internal delivery teams.
- Support continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to enhance reporting processes, data usability, and stakeholder engagement.
- This role will support a federal client and will require regular collaboration with client stakeholders, public safety professionals, internal data analysts, dashboard developers, and project leadership.
- The Business Analyst will play a key role in ensuring that data dashboards and visuals are designed to meet client needs and support informed decision-making by client leadership.
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Business Analyst, Requirements Analyst, Functional Analyst, or similar role.
- Bachelor of Science in Business or Bachelor of Science degree in Information Systems, Finance, Business, Data Analytics, or an equivalent field.
- Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Ability to work directly with federal clients, public sector stakeholders, and internal technical teams.
- Must be in-person in Washington, D.C. 5 days a week.
- Must have or be able to obtain full scope background investigation and clearance.

- Advanced excel and experience with Power BI
