Responsibilities

  • Business value delivery: Ensure incremental value delivery and high-quality standards for teams you're working with. Support these teams' strategic work in collaboration with our Product and Design organization.
  • Process and Product: In an Agile/Scrum environment, maintain high levels of transparency, efficiency, and collaboration in collaboration with other development teams and Product Management.
  • Organizational work: Help us improve and grow and build further support structures for our teams by driving broader organizational development and cross-cutting efforts with the rest of our engineering management team.
  • Technical work: Help grow the expertise of your teams in performance, reliability, scalability, maintainable architecture, and experimentation. Optimize the performance, scalability, security, and SEO of our applications
  • Support these teams' strategic work in collaboration with our Product and Design organization.
  • In an Agile/Scrum environment, maintain high levels of transparency, efficiency, and collaboration in collaboration with other development teams and Product Management.
  • Help us improve and grow and build further support structures for our teams by driving broader organizational development and cross-cutting efforts with the rest of our engineering management team.
  • You thrive on developing people and building inclusive teams.
  • In this role you will be responsible for managing engineering teams and guiding our teams as we scale and support them in helping Americans find care.
  • You'll need to be a hands-on player and a coach with the capability to push your team's abilities to grow them individually and as a unit, while also remaining hands-on in developing our applications and tools.

Requirements

  • People development: You have at least 1-2 years of experience building and leading software development teams and delivering working software together with them.
  • AI fluency: Experience integrating AI/LLM-based tools into engineering workflows and developer productivity.
  • You have experience using these methods in practice and delivering value.
