About the role

  • Scopely is seeking an experienced, pragmatic, and business-minded Counsel, Commercial to join our legal team in Culver City, California.
  • Please ensure that the résumé/CV you attach is written in English.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the lead attorney for a broad range of commercial matters supporting Scopely's business teams and initiatives, as well as various games in Scopely's portfolio.
  • Partner closely with IT, Product, Procurement, Finance, and Business Operations teams to structure deals that balance speed, risk, and business objectives
  • Contribute to the development of and utilize playbooks, templates, checklists, and drafting guidelines to drive efficiency, consistency, and predictable risk management
  • Partner with Legal Operations and global Legal teammates to test, adopt, and refine tools that scale legal support in a growing organization
  • Collaborate on matters involving in-game assets, IP partnerships, AI tool engagements, and consumer-facing features.

Requirements

  • Law degree from an accredited institution and qualification to practice law in California
  • Qualified candidates currently based in other jurisdictions with the ability to relocate are welcome to apply.

Nice to have

  • Experience in AdTech, Privacy, technology, gaming, digital media, or SaaS-driven businesses preferred
