About the role
- The Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) will provide clinical and administrative support to the healthcare team in the Regional Drug Dependency Unit (RDDU) at the Great Plains Area facility in Winnebago, NE.
- This role is responsible for assisting with patient care activities, performing routine clinical tasks, managing patient records, and supporting the overall operation of the unit, ensuring compassionate, culturally sensitive care for individuals undergoing substance abuse treatment.
Responsibilities
- Clinical Support
- Obtain and document vital signs, height, weight, and other patient data.
- Manage inventory of clinical supplies, ensuring proper storage and availability.
Requirements
- Ability to pass a background check in accordance with facility and federal requirements.
- Ability to respond promptly in emergency situations.
- Required:
- Current Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) credential from an accredited program.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (or able to obtain prior to hire).
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Preferred:
- Experience in behavioral health, addiction treatment, or similar clinical environments.
- Familiarity with IHS policies and Native American healthcare systems.
- Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Physical Requirements
- Frequent standing, walking, bending, and reaching.

- $50k-$65k
