About the role
- Troost Cemeteries, Inc. is a longstanding, highly respected, family-owned business consisting of nine cemeteries in Chicagoland.
- Our locations include Arlington Cemetery, Clarendon Hills Cemetery, Elm Lawn Memorial Park, Fairview Memorial Park, Lincoln Memorial Park, Mount Hope Cemetery, Mount Greenwood Cemetery, Parkholm Cemetery and River Hills Memorial Park.
- Assist in opening and closing of graves, setting up graveside and burial service equipment, assist in performing interments, entombments, and inurnments.
Responsibilities
- Maintains and repairs existing markers and other cemetery features.
- Maintains, services, cleans, and properly stores equipment.
- Cleans and maintains facility to include performing minor repairs, painting, etc.
- We use technology to support administrative and operational efficiency.
Requirements
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Must be able to communicate and understand basic English.
- Ability to lift to 150 with equipment assistance Ability to push and pull up to 300 lbs.
- Ability to communicate effectively.
- Ability to work in extreme weather conditions Ability to multi-task.
