Under general supervision, performs fire safety reviews of plan and sites to ensure new construction and/or renovations of structures are in compliance with all pertinent federal, state, and local codes, ordinances, regulations, and statutes.

Must possess valid Fire Safety Inspector I Certificate as required by the State of Florida Statute 633, and a valid Florida Driver's License.
Must possess valid Fire Safety Inspector II Certificate as required by the State of Florida Statute 633, and a valid Florida Driver's License.
If this posting indicates a degree is required, the following experience will apply in lieu of any degree as follows:
Two (2) years of direct experience for an associate degree
Four (4) years of direct experience for a bachelor's degree
Six (6) years of direct experience for a master's degree
Nine (9) years of direct experience for a doctoral degree.
May perform other related work as required.
