Responsibilities
- This position will support program participants and staff by offering cultural teachings, activities, sipport and guidance.
Requirements
- Ability to work outside normal business hours as required
- Proven experience with one-on-one and group facilitation
- Ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities and projects
- Mature individual who is able to work independently with preference given to individuals living a traditional lifestyle and being on a life-long journey in traditional knowledge
- Preference given to an Individual of Anishinaabe ancestry with Knowledge and understanding of Anishinaabemowin, history, clan systems, protocols, etiquette, culture, traditions, and ceremonies
- Experience working in Mental Health and Addictions field with proficiency in outdoor experiential learning, education, aftercare, and client centered models of care
- Demonstrated interpersonal and communication skills (both written and verbal)
- Ability to utilize electronic devices such as cell phone, laptop, electronic medical records
- Able to participate in outdoor and athletic programming
Compensation
- Starting at $56,500 Term: Full-time contract until March 31, 2027 with opportunity for extension pending funding Position availability: Posting is for an upcoming vacant position Closing Date: July 24, 2026 @ 4:00pm
