About the role

  • Do you want to gain valuable, hands-on experience in strategic sourcing and procurement within a global materials science leader?
  • Avery Dennison is seeking two highly motivated and detail-oriented Indirect Procurement Interns to join our team at our European Headquarters in Oegstgeest.
  • This internship provides a unique opportunity to learn from the ground up, working closely with our experienced Category Managers and supporting various aspects of the indirect procurement process.

Responsibilities

  • While each intern will have a primary category focus, both will support ad-hoc categories and general regional procurement activities:
  • Strategic Sourcing & Category Support
  • RFP Execution: Support Category Managers in the end-to-end RFI/RFQ/RFP (Request for Information/Quote/Proposal) process.
  • Bid Analysis: Perform quantitative evaluations of supplier proposals, using TCO (Total Cost of Ownership) models to compare pricing, service levels, and sustainability impacts.
  • Contract Management & Legal Support
  • Negotiation Support: Assist in drafting commercial terms and participating in negotiation sessions for ad-hoc categories and spot-buy requests.
  • Workflow Coordination: Manage the internal contract approval lifecycle, ensuring alignment and seamless communication between Legal, Finance, and Procurement stakeholders.
  • Compliance & Archiving: Maintain the integrity of our contract repositories, ensuring all documentation is up-to-date and tracking upcoming renewals to prevent service gaps.
  • Visualized Dashboards: Develop and maintain interactive dashboards (using Google Sheets or Looker Studio) to visualize key performance indicators (KPIs) such as supplier performance, savings tracking, and contract expiries.
  • Support Category Managers in the end-to-end RFI/RFQ/RFP (Request for Information/Quote/Proposal) process.

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's degree program in Procurement, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field of study for the entire duration of the internship.
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite or Google Suite, particularly Excel/Google Sheets (formulas, pivot tables, data manipulation).
  • You must be currently enrolled at a Dutch university for the entire duration of your internship.

Skills

  • Strong analytical mindset with the ability to translate complex data sets into clear, actionable insights.
  • A proactive "can-do" attitude, high attention to detail, and comfort working in a fast-paced, multicultural corporate environment.
  • Curiosity, adaptability, and a strong willingness to learn new systems (such as SAP Ariba) and procurement methodologies.

  • The salary for this position is 550 euros per month.
  • The hiring base salary range above represents what Avery Dennison reasonably expects to pay for this position as of the date of this posting.
