About the role
- Western Aircraft is looking for diligent and detail-oriented Aircraft Structures Technicians to join our dynamic team!
Responsibilities
- Understands and follows safety procedures and utilizes support equipment in a safe manner
Requirements
- Good problem-solving skills and ability to follow directions
- Must have the ability for climbing and bending at the waist, crawling, kneeling, crouching, reaching, pushing, pulling, and working at heights
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
Nice to have
- Ensures proper care of customer property through all phases of maintenance work
- Completes duties within allotted hours quoted for assigned tasks
- Ensures proper and complete documentation of maintenance, repair, and modification all work performed
- Follows strict dimension tolerances in compliance with FAA, FAR, based on supplied approved data.
- Minimum three (3) years' experience in aviation regarding Small, Mid to Large cabin aircraft.
- Minimum three (3) years' performing structural repairs and modifications.
- Experience working with composite materials a plus
- Basic knowledge of structural assembly techniques required
Skills
- Use specialized equipment and tools to measure parts for defects or deviation from specifications
