About the role
- Located in Princeton, Indiana, HMC Gears is a worldwide leader in the manufacturing of large, critical gearing and components for the mining, steel, defense, and aggregate industries.
- You will be responsible for inspecting raw materials and finished parts, reading and interpreting drawings and specifications, and completing quality documentation and reporting.
Responsibilities
- In this role, you will work closely with engineers to develop measurement strategies and inspect parts using tools such as micrometers, calipers, laser measurement equipment, and other precision instruments.
Requirements
- Ideal candidates are self-starters who are detail-oriented, patient, and driven, with strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- HMC Gears is seeking a Quality Technician with a strong understanding of mechanical components and precision measurement.
- Preferred qualifications include experience with CMM equipment, SolidWorks, FEA analysis, and MAG particle inspection, though these are not required.
