About the role

  • This position can be located in Toronto, and offers the opportunity for a hybrid work environment (at least 3 days a week in office, subject to change), providing flexibility and accessibility for qualified candidates.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain real-time trading systems that support mission-critical business operations.
  • Code, test, debug, and implement software across the full development lifecycle.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure applications meet rigorous performance and security standards.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 6+ years of professional software development experience.
  • Strong proficiency in Java programming and object-oriented design principles.

Nice to have

  • Advanced degree or specialization in financial markets, finance, or mathematics.
  • Experience with high-performance, low-latency, mission-critical systems.
  • Familiarity with AWS, cloud platforms, or AI/ML technologies.

Compensation

  • The base pay range for this role is $104,000 - $148,000.

  • In addition to base salary, Nasdaq provides a generous annual bonus/commission (short-term incentive), and equity (long-term incentive), comprehensive benefits, and opportunity for growth.
