About the role

  • As the Social Media Coordinator at Hot Topic, you'll be asked to binge-watch the latest anime, catch the newest superhero movie, discover your next favorite band, and then help bring those moments to life across our social channels.
  • This role helps ensure creative assets, campaigns, and communications authentically represent the Hot Topic and BoxLunch brands while driving engagement with our fans.

Responsibilities

  • Support the day-to-day execution of social media campaigns across content, community, and influencer initiatives.
  • Partner with Creative Services, Photo Studio, Video Production, Merchandising, and cross-functional teams to coordinate assets and deliver engaging social content.
  • Support Community Managers with community moderation and fan engagement.
  • Support influencer outreach, communications, and relationship management with prospective creator partners.
  • Coordinate influencer payments and maintain organized campaign documentation.
  • Brainstorm creative ideas to increase engagement, amplify content, and support social marketing initiatives that drive traffic and sales.
  • Assist with campaign reporting, tracking, and other administrative support for the Social Media team as needed.
  • The Social Media Coordinator provides administrative support and coordination to the Social Media team, assisting with the day-to-day execution of social media campaigns across content, community, and influencer marketing.

Requirements

  • 0-1 year of experience in social media, brand marketing, digital marketing, or a related field.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office and Windows-based applications.
  • Familiarity with social media analytics and platform insights.
  • Ability to travel as business needs require.

Nice to have

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
  • Experience with Adobe Photoshop and InDesign preferred.
