About the role

Assist in organizing and coaching for all practices and intercollegiate competitions.
Teach necessary skills from the basic fundamentals to the techniques and strategies of team play.
Assist head coach with game preparation and in-game strategies.

The lead assistant women's water polo coach is the primary assistant to the head women's water polo coach.
The lead assistant coach will assist with all aspects of the NCAA Division II Women's Water Polo Program, including student recruitment and development, on-deck coaching, contest scheduling, compliance with NCAA, Conference, and Biola University rules and regulations, student-athlete academic achievement, and other duties assigned by the head coach.
Promote and maintain an environment where the physical, mental, spiritual, social, and academic well-being of all student-athletes is a priority.
Maintain collaborative working relationships with administrators and coaches in the department, institutional staff members, and external constituents.
Maintain confidentiality, including, but not limited to, information, files, and records that the incumbent may obtain or possess under federal and state laws and Biola University policies and practices.
Assist in developing a team calendar featuring devotional speakers.

Knowledge of water polo as competed at the collegiate level.
Demonstrated ability to interpret and present information and ideas clearly and accurately in writing, verbally and by preparation of reports and other materials.
Ability to travel with the team as required.
Ability to work with and effectively mentor young christian women
Required to possess and maintain a valid driver's license in California.
