About the role

  • The Exchange Planner is responsible for the planning and administration associated with the OEM Machine Shop and Welding areas.
  • include review of salvage velocity, salvage queue management, and inventory management for salvage consumables.

Responsibilities

  • Review RFA requirements daily to support production assembly plans
  • Meet lead time requirements for salvage-only work orders, communicating thorough and effective progress updates to the Network Salvage Planner

Requirements

  • Strong interpersonal skills and proven ability to work in a multi-functional team
  • Excellent organizational skills including the ability to work efficiently and effectively under tight deadlines while maintaining attention to detail and quality
  • Experience in parts planning and/or supply chain management
  • They are accountable for supporting Internal Fab WO Opening, salvage scheduling, customer required dates, and work instructions.
  • Previous OEM experience is an asset
  • CAT product knowledge considered an asset
  • Strong administrative skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for a demanding and customer focused work environment
  • Strong analytical, problem solving, and decision making skills
  • Proven ability to be aware and flexible through assessment of situations
  • Proficient in MS Office applications
  • Minimum 2 years related experience or an acceptable combination of education and work experience
  • Bachelor of Commerce or other relevant post-secondary education considered an asset
