About the role

  • The Senior Materials Program Manager plays a crucial role in handling materials that have critical impact on the organization.
  • This role is based in Taiwan and involves materials planning, allocation, reporting, New Product Material readiness, and logistics readiness from Contract Manufacturer to Inspiren.

Responsibilities

  • CLEAR TO BUILD - Handle the CTB process, ensure the process is working smoothly and we have clear visibility on materials over a 26-week horizon. Identify material issues (including sub-tier supply chain) until issues are closed/resolved.
  • REPORTING - Build and maintain reports and summaries on a regular basis to support the business growth. Ensure reports are concise and on time to drive business decision making.
  • NEW PRODUCT MATERIALS READINESS - During New Product Introduction (NPI) phase, lead material readiness to ensure that we understand the supply base and related challenges - Identify critical engineering release breakthroughs
  • STRATEGIC COST AND MARKET INTELLIGENCE - Monitor commodity pricing trends, market availability, and lead time shifts for key components.
  • Leverage market intelligence to proactively recommend make/buy decisions, alternate parts, or pre-buy strategies that protect supply continuity and optimize cost.
  • LOGISTICS - Ensure the smooth flow of materials necessary to meet the production schedules, inventory control requirements, and on-going production support.
  • Collaborate with Inspiren's logistics partner to optimize finished product inbound lead time and costs.
  • Document defective products and work with manufacturers on returns and replacements.
  • NEW PRODUCT MATERIALS READINESS - During New Product Introduction (NPI) phase, lead material readiness to ensure that we understand the supply base and related challenges - Identify critical engineering release breakthroughs; assess necessity for risk ramp and associated liabilities, to ensure material supply for product ramp is protected.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience in supply chain and project management
  • Domain expertise with Asian ODM/JDM/EMS management & product development processes
  • Analytical mindset with problem-solving capabilities, with the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced, scaling environment
  • Mandarin and English language proficiency

Nice to have

  • Experience in a startup environment
  • Conduct regular supplier business reviews (SBRs) to track performance KPIs including quality, delivery, cost, and responsiveness.

  • Preferred: Advanced modeling and predictive analytical skills
