About the role

  • This role is also responsible for the consolidation, reporting and understanding of tax cash forecasting for the business units in Canada and overall ICTC Canada budget.
  • The Canadian Tax Analyst reports to the Canadian Tax Manager and will work closely with client business finance teams and Global Tax and Treasury teams to ensure smooth execution of tax activities.
  • Raise issues with management and circulate timely reporting.

Responsibilities

  • Develop a withholding tax compliance process for services provided in Canada.
  • Preparation of data and support to comply with any CRA audit requests.
  • Coordination of purchase orders and liaise with accounts payable on third party Tax partner invoices.
  • Prepare ICTC budget and perform periodic reconciliation to ensure completeness and analyze actuals as compared to budget.
  • Obtain forecasted PBT from Segment finance to support repatriation plan and segment allocation for journal entries.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience in Canadian tax, preferably within a multinational organization and/or Big 4 environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Word); experience with data and reporting tools is an asset (PowerBI).
  • Experience with ERP systems such as SAP, MS Dynamics, or Oracle is an asset.
  • Prepare all required documentation in support of tax computations and submissions related to tax and transfer pricing matters in anticipation of tax audits and in accordance with tax defense strategy.
