About the role
- University of Wisconsin Platteville is seeking a full time Assistant Baseball Coach to join the Division of Athletics and Recreation.
- The Assistant Baseball Coach will assist the head coach in the organization, management, and coaching of the university baseball team in conjunction with other departmental responsibilities.
- This position has a salary of $31,500 and is benefit and paid leave eligible.
Responsibilities
- Assist the head coach in developing and implementing a comprehensive recruiting strategy, including identifying and evaluating prospects, conducting off-campus and on-campus recruiting activities, coordinating campus visits, and assisting prospective student-athletes throughout the admissions process.Be responsible for the development, safety and conduct of the team.
- Maintain comprehensive knowledge of and strict compliance with all NCAA, WIAC, and University of Wisconsin-Platteville rules, policies, procedures, and regulations and conduct program with regulations.Assist in maintaining baseball and softball fields.
- Maintain a GPA and graduation rate at or above the UW-Platteville all-campus Average
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution
- Knowledge of computer applications, including that for recruiting
- Ability to work weekends & evenings and also to travel
Nice to have
- Collegiate experience playing and/or coaching baseball
