Responsibilities
- Technical Resource - Provides technical expertise in support of capital projects, process evaluation, and equipment modification.
- Manages contractors and coordinates maintenance staff during project installations.
- Maintains all logic and PLC programs, install switches, and performs maintenance on the network as needed.
- Analysis and Design -Performs analysis, detailed design (including documentation), capital request preparation, installation, startup/checkout/debugging, and cost control of assigned projects.
- The Utilities Engineer is responsible for providing day to day support to operations and maintenance of electrical utility production and distribution.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering from an accredited university.
- Five years of experience in design, maintenance, or operation of electrical power systems.
- Required Licenses and Certifications:
- Must have a valid Texas Class "C" Driver's License or the ability to obtain within 30 days of employment.
- Must have a EIT Certification or the ability to obtain within 1 year of employment.
- Required Special Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Must have a valid Texas Class "C" Driver's License or the ability to obtain within 30 days of employment. Must have a EIT Certification or the ability to obtain within 1 year of employment.
- Required Education and Experience:
- Familiar with principles involved in electrical distribution systems, SCADA, relaying & controls, medium voltage equipment and medium voltage testing, system modeling.
Nice to have
- Academic emphasis in power distribution and control systems.
- Experience in air and water balance of HVAC systems.
- Professional Engineer certification.
- Monitor and Analyze - Monitors plant systems, analyzes performance, initiates action for optimization and participates in process improvement efforts to achieve plant goals for safety productivity and efficiency.
- This may require driving a university vehicle to various plant facilities on campus.
- Will strive to not only meet, but exceed, customer expectations in every interaction by providing personalized and professional solutions.

- $75,012.00 - $114,131.00
- 12-15 days of annual paid holidays
