Responsibilities
- Our project portfolio features experience in bridge, highway, and structural design; condition and safety inspection; civil and site engineering support; construction inspection and administration; survey and mapping; and hydrographic services.
- Implement and maintain quality control procedures to verify accuracy, completeness, and reliability of collected survey data.
- Manage accurate field-to-office data transfer, ensuring proper documentation, data verification, and timely processing for deliverables.
- Operate and maintain survey equipment including Total Stations, GPS/GNSS units, and data collectors; analyze data and prepare maps, plats, and reports using CAD software.
Requirements
- Minimum A.A.S. degree in Land Surveying or related field.
- Working knowledge of CAD software Valid NYS Driver's
Nice to have
- Proficiency in MicroStation, Bentley OpenRoads, Autodesk Civil 3D, Carlson Survey, and Trimble Business Center are preferred.
Compensation
- A base salary of $60,000 to $90,000 annually, based on experience, plus, prevailing wage rates when applicable.

- The Land Survey Party Chief is responsible for leading field survey crews, performing boundary, topographic, construction, and control surveys, and ensuring accurate collection and processing of survey data.
- This position requires strong technical expertise, leadership skills, and the capability to coordinate with project managers, clients, and office staff to deliver high-quality survey products.
- What you'll be able to do: Lead and supervise field survey crews, including crew scheduling, daily task assignments, and on-site oversight to ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and on schedule.
- Conduct boundary, topographic, construction, and as-built surveys, ensuring precise measurements and adherence to project specifications.
- Coordinate with clients, project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to clarify scope, communicate progress, and resolve technical issues.
- The minimum requirements we seek: Minimum A.A.S. degree in Land Surveying or related field.
