About the role

  • Highland Homes is looking for a Land Entitlements Specialist to join our team and assist with preliminary plating, due diligence, zoning, and final engineering permits.
  • Conduct due diligence, including environmental analysis of wetlands, streams, subsurface soils analysis, contract/legal review, etc.
  • Examine site plan development with respect to Topo, floodplain, utilities, stormwater, sanitary sewer, storm drainage and water feasibility.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in overseeing engineering of subdivision and QA/QC utility, grading and stormwater design up to permit approvals.

Requirements

  • Must be able to walk potential site before and during construction, attend evening meetings, local driving required.
  • Assist with special projects as requested and perform additional duties as required.

Nice to have

  • Bachelor's Degree required
  • Civil Engineering preferred with at 1-2 years working for a homebuilder

Skills

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for interaction with a variety of people inside and outside of organization.
  • Detail oriented with exceptional organizational skills to keep projects on track.
  • Problem solving skills and forward thinking to analyze discrepancies and consistencies with construction plans and budgets.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Adobe PDF.
