About the role
- Highland Homes is looking for a Land Entitlements Specialist to join our team and assist with preliminary plating, due diligence, zoning, and final engineering permits.
- Conduct due diligence, including environmental analysis of wetlands, streams, subsurface soils analysis, contract/legal review, etc.
- Examine site plan development with respect to Topo, floodplain, utilities, stormwater, sanitary sewer, storm drainage and water feasibility.
Responsibilities
- Assist in overseeing engineering of subdivision and QA/QC utility, grading and stormwater design up to permit approvals.
Requirements
- Must be able to walk potential site before and during construction, attend evening meetings, local driving required.
- Assist with special projects as requested and perform additional duties as required.
Nice to have
- Bachelor's Degree required
- Civil Engineering preferred with at 1-2 years working for a homebuilder
Skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for interaction with a variety of people inside and outside of organization.
- Detail oriented with exceptional organizational skills to keep projects on track.
- Problem solving skills and forward thinking to analyze discrepancies and consistencies with construction plans and budgets.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Adobe PDF.
