About the role
- Traditions Health is seeking a new CNA to join our growing Hospice Team in Peoria!
- Primary function is to act as liaison between hospice and the volunteers regarding patient/family needs.
- include development and promotion of volunteer programs and maximizing resources.
Responsibilities
- to deliver exceptional hospice care that brings comfort, dignity, and peace to patients and their families wherever they call home.
Requirements
- Sitting is required.
- Requires ability to handle stressful situations in a calm and courteous manner at all times.
- Demonstrates knowledge of, and ensures compliance with, all local, state and federal laws relating to the recruitment, training & retention of volunteers.
Nice to have
- High School Graduate, Graduate of an accredited college/university is preferred
- 2 years experience in recruitment & management of volunteers, preferred.
Skills
- Computer Proficient, including Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and email applications
- Must be confident in presentation skills and able to address groups of various sizes as well as train individually in a one-on-one setting
- Transportation: Reliable transportation and valid and current driver's license and auto insurance
- ability to travel locally for recruiting and community events
- some exposure to unpleasant weather.
- Essential Functions:
- Recruits, selects, trains and coordinates hospice volunteers.
- Provides volunteers per the Hospice patient's Plan of Care. Monitors the volunteers' adherence to the patient's plan of care.
- Promotes Agency philosophy to ensure quality of care.
