About the role

Other responsibilities for this position are as follows: Subsurface investigations including test borings, cone penetration testing, and test pits, reviewing exploration logs, lab results, and plans.

GTA's Laurel, Maryland office is looking for a Project Geotechnical Engineer with over 5 years of experience in Maryland and Washington, DC.
Ideal candidates should be experienced in managing complex projects, writing proposals, conducting geotechnical explorations, preparing reports, drafting, and performing geotechnical analyses.
Other responsibilities for this position are as follows:
Subsurface investigations including test borings, cone penetration testing, and test pits, reviewing exploration logs, lab results, and plans.
Forensic investigation and failure analysis.
Preparation of geotechnical and stormwater infiltration reports.
Bachelor's Degree in geotechnical engineering or civil engineering
PE preferred MS Degree in geotechnical engineering preferred Excellent written and verbal skills Familiarity with Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel CADD experience.
