About the role

  • Receive and inspect incoming food deliveries; verify quantities, quality, and condition against invoices or packing slips.
  • Organize and store food items properly, ensuring compliance with safety, sanitation, and rotation guidelines.
  • Track inventory levels, log usage, and alert leadership when supplies run low.

Responsibilities

  • The Food Service and Attendance Aide support daily food program service and ensures accurate record keeping for the purposes of the Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP).
  • Report and document discrepancies, damaged items, or shortages.
  • Maintain clean, safe, and organized kitchen and storage areas (dry goods, refrigerated, frozen) Coordinate with vendors, drivers, or procurement staff to schedule deliveries and resolve issues.
  • This position requires regular evening and weekend availability to support program operations, trainings, events, meetings, and organizational needs.
  • Ability to build rapport and relationships with people from all demographics.

Requirements

  • Time management skills Strong Communication skills Ability to work with people Good organization and multi-tasking skills Able to communicate effectively with English speaking community members.
  • CPR/First Aid Certification or ability to obtain within first 30 days of employment.

Compensation

  • Salary $15-$17/hr
