About the role
- In this role, you will work with experienced coverage and litigation attorneys on matters involving insurance claims analysis, coverage disputes, and litigation for insurance company clients.
- The practice includes a wide range of industries and claims, including defective products, mass torts, environmental contamination, habitability, transportation, personal injury, professional liability, and intellectual property.
- The ideal candidate has litigation experience, strong research and writing skills, and an interest in analyzing complex insurance policies and coverage-related disputes.
Responsibilities
- Support depositions, mediations, hearings, and oral arguments, both remotely and in person.
- Collaborate with partners and senior attorneys on case strategy, risk evaluation, and client recommendations.
- A collaborative approach to working with partners, associates, paralegals, and law clerks.
- The ability to manage assignments independently, take ownership of work, and meet deadlines.
Requirements
- Insurance coverage law experience preferred

- Active bar license in California
- Juris Doctor from an accredited law school
- At least 1 year of civil litigation experience in either state or federal court

Compensation
- $140,000 - $180,000 USD

- Assist with all phases of insurance coverage analysis and related civil litigation in both state and federal court.
- Draft coverage opinions, reservation of rights letters, pleadings, motions, discovery, and other case-related communications.
- Communicate with clients regarding case status, coverage issues, and litigation developments.
- Develop practical litigation skills while building a deeper understanding of complex insurance coverage issues.
