  • In addition to leadership responsibilities, the Clinical Manager serves as the primary clinical resource for real-time patient care coordination, including management of medical advice calls and triage during business hours.

Responsibilities

  • Develops, implements, and maintains clinical policies, protocols, and standardized workflows.
  • Monitors clinical quality metrics and analyzes performance data to drive continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Performs nursing triage using standardized protocols and independent clinical judgment to determine appropriate levels of care.
  • Provides clinical guidance and escalation support to staff handling patient communications
  • Direct Patient Care Support
  • Provides real-time support during periods of high patient volume, staff shortages, or workflow disruption
  • Leads development and optimization of clinical workflows, including triage, rooming, medication administration, and care coordination
  • Partners with the Office Manager to improve clinic throughput, patient flow, and access to care
  • Supports clinical teaching activities for students, residents, and other learners in coordination with faculty and academic leadership

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of clinical experience in ambulatory care, family medicine, pediatrics, or related setting
  • Experience with clinical triage, telephone advice, or care coordination in an outpatient setting
  • Minimum 1-2 years of supervisory or leadership experience
  • Experience with quality improvement methodologies (e.g., PDSA cycles, Lean principles)
  • Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Nice to have

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required
