About the role
- Children's child welfare program is seeking mission-driven professionals committed to strengthening families and supporting child safety and well-being.
- Our priority is family connectedness and our primary goals are keeping families intact and facilitating reunification.
- When children cannot return home safely, Child Welfare Case Managers pursue alternate forms of permanency, such as transfer of guardianship and adoption, with a focus on maintaining family relationships.
Responsibilities
- Facilitate placement into out-of-home care settings and support caregivers in meeting the needs of children and youth in partnership with families
- Document case progress
Requirements
- Knowledge acquired through a Bachelor's Degree in Social Work, Psychology, Sociology, Criminal Justice or related degree that meets child-placing license requirements.
Nice to have
- Case management experience with economically disadvantaged populations preferred.
- Experience working with families of diverse ethnic, cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds strongly preferred.
