About the role
- Fora is seeking a Social Media Associate to join our growing brand team.
- You will serve as the daily voice of our brand, managing content across platforms while supporting the strategy that elevates Fora's presence and empowers our advisor community.
- This role plays a critical part in supporting the operational and community management needs of the social team.
Responsibilities
- Own the end to end management of the social content calendar for @ForaTravel and @ForaCommunity, including planning, scheduling, publishing, and ongoing optimization across Instagram, TikTok, Threads, Facebook, X, YouTube, and LinkedIn.
- Manage day to day community engagement, including responding to direct messages and comments, engaging with advisor content, participating in relevant cultural moments, and helping establish a consistent and distinctive brand voice across platforms.
- Collaborate with designers, editors, production, and external partners to bring social first concepts to life.
- Support cross functional alignment by working closely with content, PR, partnerships, and production teams to ensure social initiatives support broader company goals.
- Maintain organized workflows in tools such as Airtable and Dash Social, ensuring clear processes, strong attention to detail, and consistent execution.
- You will report to the Senior Social Media Manager and collaborate closely with teams across content, editorial, production, partnerships, and external agency partners.

Requirements
- 2+ years of full time experience managing social media for a brand or agency, with direct ownership of publishing and community management.
- Proficiency with social scheduling and analytics tools such as Dash Social, along with experience using Airtable or similar project management platforms.
- Experience managing community engagement across multiple social platforms.
- Ability to work in the United States and be based in or willing to relocate to New York City.
- Knowledge of the travel industry or experience as a travel advisor.
- Familiarity with paid social, influencer marketing, or brand partnerships.

Compensation
- Compensation for this role varies based on experience, with an indicative range of $60K-$90K + equity. Final compensation will depend on the level at which the candidate is hired, as we're considering multiple levels for this role.
