About the role
- The ideal candidate would be a self-starter with the ability to quickly solve problems by leveraging their broad knowledge base and experienced critical thinking.
Responsibilities
- Breakdown of design requirements
- Capture and organize the documentation for a design package (Concept of Operations, Requirements, BOM, CAD Models/Drawing, Vendor Data, Analysis)
- Design of process piping and mechanical systems (Design Considerations: thermal expansion, ease of manufacturing, minimizing pressure drop)
- Participate in informal and formal design reviews
- Support root cause analysis and corrective action
- Support a forward-thinking attitude to continuous process improvement
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related Engineering degree
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in Mechanical or Fluid Design Engineering with 3 years in a manufacturing environment
- Strong knowledge of compressible and incompressible flow
- Hands-on experience with mechanical assembly, testing, and troubleshooting
Nice to have
- 6-10 years of experience in Mechanical or Fluid Design Engineering with at least 5 years in a manufacturing environment
- Experience with construction, fabrication, and testing of large-scale process equipment.
- Experience with ERP/MRP systems and data management tools (Autodesk Vault) </li
