About the role
- PayPal, Inc. seeks Sr Software Engineer in Austin, TX
- Deploy code to stage environment for testing and conduct Quality Analysis of the feature considering all scenarios covering.
- Investigate production issues reported on the checkout domain and quickly resolve to minimize end-user impact.
Responsibilities
- Drive development life cycle activities like design, coding, testing, and release to migrate existing legacy C++ applications to new raptor applications.
- Estimate delivery time based on the bandwidth of the team members, build a working prototype if necessary, and implement the feature along with unit and functional tests.
- Lead team participation in all phases of the software development lifecycle.
- Job Duties: Drive development life cycle activities like design, coding, testing, and release to migrate existing legacy C++ applications to new raptor applications.

Requirements
- Data Structures (5 years).
- Experience with application of data structures in designing scalable algorithms.
- Experience with object-oriented principles and design patterns to architect robust and maintainable software systems.
- Spring Core (4 years).
- Experience writing efficient and high-performance applications using C++.
- SQL and NoSQL (3 years).
- Experience designing and optimizing relational and non-relational databases using SQL and NoSQL technologies.
- Version Control (3 years).
- Experience using Git or similar version control systems for collaborative software development.
- Continuous Integration (3 years).
Nice to have
- The base pay for this role will depend on where you work and the relevant experience and expertise you bring.
- Master's degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Engineering, or a closely related field plus seven years of experience in the job offered or a related occupation.

Compensation
- $163,550.00-221,500.00 per annum.
- Additional compensation for this role may include an annual performance bonus, equity, or other incentive compensation, as applicable.
