About the role
- The role of a tax department coordinator is one that requires a great deal of organization, strong communication skills and attention to detail.
- They are responsible for coordinating various aspects of the tax practice, including scheduling internal and outsourced staff, and coordinating and facilitating department activities and training.
- This often means juggling competing demands from different stakeholders and keeping everyone informed about progress on their respective projects.
Responsibilities
- Lead weekly regional scheduling meetings with staff and managers
- Manage the return workload for all colleagues
- The tax coordinator will work to support the tax department head in facilitating and leading the growth of the various offices in the region.
- Manage daily schedules for outsourced staff
- Manage internship activities, including lunches and other events
- Develop the full workflow and written materials on what happens from a return start to finish
- Plan and manage national tax training sessions
Requirements
- Must be able to lift to 15 pounds at a time
- Little travel is ever required of this position.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent technology experience
