About the role

  • The Patient Placement Coordinator plays an active role in managing patient flow.
  • The Patient Placement Coordinator works in collaboration with patients, families and staff from all sources of patient admissions.

Responsibilities

  • also include running daily reports to support operational planning and reconciling multiple systems to confirm accurate placement data.
  • Maintains an in-depth knowledge of the state mandated rules and regulations governing the preparation of death certificates.
  • Will also function as support and will assist the Patient Care Services Scheduling Coordinator as needed and will function in this role when needed 30 hours per week - 10 hour shifts

Requirements

  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to multitask are essential to ensure accurate and timely patient placement.
  • Additionally, the coordinator provides support to the Patient Care Services Scheduling Coordinator as required and will function in this role on off shifts, holidays, and weekends.
  • High School Diploma/GED required
  • Associates degree in a related field required or equivalent experience

Skills

  • Medical Terminology required
  • Previous work in a hospital or healthcare setting preferred
  • Previous experience with hospital staffing preferred

Compensation

  • The pay range displayed on each job posting reflects the anticipated range for new hires.
