About the role

  • As Lead Accountant, you will be responsible for supporting the Finance and Accounting Officer in technical leadership of all District Finance and Accounting activities.

  • Basic Requirement for Lead Accountant:

Requirements

  • One year of specialized experience which includes (1) Formulating USACE District plans, policies, and procedures pertaining to implementation and use of accounting systems
  • Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-12).
  • Bachelor's degree (or higher degree) in accounting; or a degree in a related field such as business administration, finance, or public administration that included or was supplemented by 24 semester hours in accounting.

Compensation

  • $122k-$158k
