Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the mechanical design and development of new products and subsystems, supporting projects from concept through production.
  • Participate in early-stage concept exploration by generating ideas and helping evaluate different design approaches.
  • Translate product requirements into engineering designs
  • Support designs through the development lifecycle, including detailed design, prototyping, validation, and production ramp.
  • Create and maintain CAD models, detailed drawings, and documentation for components and assemblies.
  • Build and test prototypes using in-house tools and external vendors, iterating based on results.
  • Apply knowledge of materials and manufacturing processes to make sound design decisions
  • Support design-for-manufacturability (DFM) and design-for-assembly (DFA) efforts across common processes such as injection molding, machining, and sheet metal.
  • Collaborate with suppliers, operations, and manufacturing teams to refine designs and support builds.
  • Troubleshoot design and build issues, identifying root causes and implement improvements.

Requirements

  • Experience with prototyping and iterative design (e.g., 3D printing, laser cutting, quick-turn fabrication).

Nice to have

  • Proficiency in CAD and creating clear, accurate drawings
  • exposure to GD&T is a plus.

  • This is a full-time position expected to be in-office 4 days per week with 1 day flexible for in-office or remote work.

Compensation

  • The salary range for this role is $105,000 - $125,000.
  • We are committed to equitable compensation, and we offer a generous benefits package to make sure you have the support you need.
