- Job Description Summary Under minimal supervision, the Irrigation Systems Assistant Manager oversees the computerized underground lawn irrigation systems' maintenance, repair, and operation.
Responsibilities
- This position may be designated as essential personnel to support business continuity in the event of campus emergencies, disasters, or other special needs as directed by management.
Requirements
- It cannot encompass all specific job tasks that an employee may be required to perform.
- Employees are required to follow any other job-related instructions and perform job-related duties as may be reasonably assigned by his/her supervisor.
Skills
- High school diploma or GED with three or more years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Knowledge of computerized systems, time clocks, electrical wiring, and wire functions.
- Experience in managing irrigation projects.
- Knowledge of mechanical maintenance, including electrical and plumbing.
- Skilled in the use of computers, specifically in a PC, and in a window-based operating environment.
- Ability to read blueprints.
- Good communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to meet the requirements of the University's automobile insurance.
- Ability to follow all University and departmental policies and procedures.
- Basic knowledge of techniques, tools, equipment, and safety precautions.
- Ability to understand and follow specific instructions and procedures.
- Knowledge of grounds maintenance and turf equipment operations.
