About the role
- This role ensures the stability, security, performance, and availability of enterprise infrastructure supporting mission-critical SAP and non-SAP applications.
- This position works closely with Basis, Database, Security, Integration, Development, Cloud, and Infrastructure teams to ensure reliable operation of Navy ERP+ systems and services.
- Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
Responsibilities
- Install, configure, administer, and maintain Windows Server and Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) operating systems.
- Manage physical, virtual, and cloud-hosted server environments supporting Navy ERP+ applications and services.
- Perform routine system administration activities including patching, upgrades, account management, and system maintenance.
- Support enterprise application environments including SAP, web servers, middleware, file transfer services, and supporting technologies.
- Configure and maintain server resources, storage allocations, file systems, and operating system services.
- Support load balancing, clustering, high availability, and disaster recovery configurations where applicable.
- Coordinate infrastructure activities with network, cloud, database, and application support teams.
- Support RMF compliance activities, audits, vulnerability assessments, and security reviews.
- Maintain system hardening standards and security documentation.

Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 5+ years of experience administering enterprise Windows Server environments.
- 5+ years of experience administering Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) environments.
- Experience supporting enterprise applications in production environments.
- Experience with virtualization technologies such as VMware or equivalent platforms.
- Experience performing operating system patching, upgrades, troubleshooting, and performance tuning.
- Strong understanding of server hardware, storage, networking, and infrastructure concepts.
- Experience supporting security compliance requirements and vulnerability remediation efforts.
- Experience supporting SAP landscapes including SAP ERP, SAP S/4HANA, or related enterprise applications.
- Experience with automation and scripting technologies such as PowerShell, Bash, Python, or Ansible.
