About the role

  • PRIMARY PURPOSE The Banquet Supervisor is responsible for implementation of all banquet functions at The Glen Eyrie Conference Center, ensuring that service standards and departmental policies are followed by banquet staff.
  • The position is primarily concerned with front of house activities.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain positive and professional attitude
  • Maintain proper dining experience, delivering items, fulfilling customer needs, removing courses, replenishing utensils, refilling glasses
  • Maintain high standards of safety and cleanliness in all areas of the Conference Center
  • Performs basic cleaning tasks as needed or directed by supervisor
  • May take "lead" position for a specific function
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned by Banquet Supervisor and Food & Beverage Director

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent required
  • Ability to follow directions
  • Ability to work independently as well as a team in a fast-paced environment
  • Reliable transportation required
  • Belief in and adherence to the Statement of Faith and Mission of The Navigators.
  • Previous waitstaff experience
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Excellent oral communication and listening skills

Nice to have

  • Knowledge of catering practices preferred

Compensation

  • Participate in the annual, organizational Plan and Progress Review (PPR) process.
