About the role

Responsibilities

  • Support Project Managers with the day to day management of commercial and industrial construction projects.
  • Manage RFIs, submittals, change orders, meeting minutes, and project documentation.
  • Coordinate material procurement and track long lead items to support project schedules.
  • Support project buyout and subcontract administration.
  • Coordinate with Superintendents to help resolve field issues and maintain project schedules.
  • Maintain accurate project files and documentation using construction management software.
  • Build strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, consultants, and internal teams.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast paced environment.

Requirements

  • 2 to 5 years of experience with a general contractor as an Assistant Project Manager, Project Engineer, or similar role.
  • Strong understanding of construction drawings, specifications, contracts, and project documentation.
  • Proficiency with Procore, Bluebeam, Microsoft Office, and construction management software.

  • This individual will work closely with Project Managers and field teams to coordinate project documentation, scheduling, procurement, subcontractors, and project communication from preconstruction through closeout.
  • The ideal candidate has previous experience working for a general contractor and is eager to grow within a collaborative, fast paced environment.
  • Experience with industrial and tilt up construction is highly preferred.
  • Industrial construction experience including warehouse, manufacturing, distribution, or similar facilities is preferred.
  • Tilt up construction experience is highly preferred.
