Responsibilities
- Advise business leaders and HR partners by delivering actionable compensation consulting, enabling informed talent and pay decisions.
- Lead and manage significant compensation projects that improve pay programs, processes, or policies, driving measurable business results.
- Support and enhance employee recognition programs, contributing to a culture of engagement and performance.
- Strengthen our compensation programs by ensuring timely and accurate compensation planning, market data analysis, and survey submissions, helping maintain Freddie Mac's competitive position in the market.
- We partner with business leaders and HR partners to develop and implement competitive, innovative and market driven compensation programs.
- We deliver solutions and insights that help the organization attract, retain, and motivate top talent.
- Freddie Mac partners with BountyJobs for contingency search business through outside firms.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
- 5-7 years of compensation experience
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data analysis
- Proficiency in compensation administration using HR information systems (e.g., Workday)
- Employees exercise this responsibility by executing against policies and procedures and adhering to privacy & security obligations as required via training programs.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple demanding projects

- Strong project management skills, with the ability to organize, prioritize, and deliver multiple initiatives simultaneously
- Curiosity and initiative to explore new technologies-including AI-to improve compensation processes and decision-making
- Analytical mindset and attention to detail, ensuring high-quality and accurate work
- Collaborative approach, building effective partnerships across HR, business units, and cross-functional teams
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, able to translate data and insights into actionable recommendations
- Adaptability and resourcefulness in a fast-paced, evolving environment
Nice to have
- CCP (Certified Compensation Professional) or commitment to pursuing certification preferred
Compensation
- This position has an annualized market-based salary range of $102,000 - $154,000 and is eligible to participate in the annual incentive program.
